What to Expect: A Step-by-Step Guide to Your Newborn Photoshoot Experience.
Step 1: Enquiry & Booking
Your journey starts with a simple enquiry via my website or social media. I’ll respond promptly with all the information you need about my newborn photoshoots—session style, packages, availability, and how to prepare. Once you're ready, we’ll secure your booking with a tentative date based on your due date, and I’ll stay in touch as your little one’s arrival gets closer.
Tip: Booking early ensures availability for your professional newborn photography session in our cosy Stratford-upon-Avon studio.
Step 2: Pre-Shoot Preparation
A few days before your session, I’ll send a prep guide with gentle tips on how to get ready for your photoshoot— Where to park, ideas for what to wear and what to bring. You’re also welcome to bring sentimental items, like a special teddy or a hand-knitted blanket from Nana, to personalise your gallery.
Step 3: The Newborn Photoshoot Day!
On the day of the shoot, you’ll arrive at my cosy newborn and family friendly studio. The space is kept warm and peaceful, with soft lighting and soothing music to help baby feel relaxed. Sessions are entirely baby-led, allowing plenty of time for feeding, changing, and cuddles. My approach is gentle, patient, and tailored to your baby’s own pace.
Step 4: Editing & Gallery Creation
After your session, I carefully select and hand-edit the best images to reflect the beauty, softness, and emotion of your baby's earliest moments. Each photo is lovingly crafted into a timeless gallery you’ll treasure forever. This part of the process usually takes around 5 working days.
Step 5: Viewing & Choosing Your Images
Once your gallery is ready, you’ll receive a private link to view your images in an online watermarked gallery. You will have one week to choose your favourite digital images and prints according to the price list. Your final payment will be made by day 7 and I will get the final editing including skin editing and backgrounds ready and sent to you within 3 weeks from payment.
