Meet your newborn photographer of 12 years.
There is a change coming and the studio is moving! It is in the same building just a new and more intentional space.
You can hold these moments forever.
“That’s what I love so much about photography. It freezes moments in time so that they are yours, for always.”
The newborn photography studio
Welcome to my studio—a cozy, welcoming space designed with you and your little one in mind. Nestled in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon, it’s a place where the warmth of home meets the creativity of my work.
When you step inside, you’ll find comfortable seating perfect for settling in during your session. I want you to feel completely at ease while we capture these precious moments, whether you're chatting or enjoying a quiet moment while I work with your baby.
My approach to newborn photography.
Every baby is different, and my sessions are designed to follow your baby’s rhythm. My approach focuses on three things:
1. Safety always comes first
Your baby’s comfort and safety guide every pose and every moment of the session. If there’s anything they don’t like or I feel they are uncomfortable with. We try again later or don’t do it. There is no pressure.
2. A calm, relaxed experience
Sessions are slow and unhurried. We pause for feeding, cuddles, and soothing whenever needed. Sessions are booked with up to 3.5 hours available, but they regularly take only 2- 2.5 hours.
3. Timeless, natural images
I focus on soft tones, natural posing, and authentic connection so your images will feel just as beautiful decades from now. The result is a gallery filled with gentle, emotional photographs that reflect the love in your family.
When I’m not photographing or editing photos of tiny humans you’ll usually find me Spending time outdoors, often gardening or walking. We take trips the The Lake District every year.
Who is Cara Mia
Currently hobbies include attempts to bake bread, reading and dragging myself to a gym. (I much prefer to be outdoors)
The rest of my time is often spent favourite people in the world. You can find me getting up to mischief with my awesome, sweet angel, can do no wrong Nephew, Lenny, and of course my darling husband David (you will see him on the socials) at games nights with family (or in the summers at our local) Other than this I will be cuddling up on the sofa with my cats.
